Privacy Policy
We ("PixelBlast") provide this Privacy Policy to explain how we collect, store, and use the information collected in connection with our software applications ("services"). We respect the privacy of their users and is committed to protecting the user's information. You have a right to know our practices regarding the information we may collect and use when you use our services.
We don't collect data that can identify you, and our services work without any registration or personal details. In short, you can enjoy our product fully without ever sharing your name, contact info, or anything else that points back to you.
The types of information we collect and how we collect it
Personal Information:
-
PixelBlast collects the advertising identifier (Apple's IDFA and Google's advertiser ID), and a unique identifier for each user in our mobile application.
-
PixelBlast integrates third party SDKs in to our services. These SDKs are used for advertising to our users, analyzing service usage, enabling in-app purchases, or providing our services. We allow third party operators this collected data solely for internal operations of the service as permitted by applicable rules and laws. This could include, but is not limited to, persistent advertising identifiers, geolocation information, and IP address. We encourage you to review the policies of the third party operators listed below.
-
When contacting us we will collect email addresses of our users for our mailing list(s), account recovery, or customer support purposes.
Non-personal Information:
-
We allow third parties to collect some information by which users cannot be identified. Non-personal information may include technical information about your device, such as your browser type, screen resolution, device type, language, type of operating system and geo location (only general location). Non-personal information is gathered by third party services while you are accessing the service. They are allowed to use this information to conduct research and analysis, but only for strictly limited purposes. We encourage you to review the policies of the third party operators listed below.
-
Internally, PixelBlast also reserves the right to collect anonymous information for research and analysis. This information is generic in nature and cannot be used to individually identify a user. This information is collected each time a user runs one of our services.
-
We collect anonymous crash and performance logs which may include data on a user's operating system, device manufacturer and relevant usage near the time of the incident in order to improve the quality of the software.
App Permissions
To provide our services, PixelBlast requests the following device permissions. We only use these permissions for the purposes described below, and never to independently identify you or sell your personal data.
Storage & Files:
- Manage External Storage / Write External Storage – allows the app to read, write, and organize files on your device (e.g. for file management, media handling, or backup/restore features).
- Request Install Packages – allows the app to prompt installation of application packages (e.g. for app-management or launcher-related features).
Notifications & Device Feedback:
- Post Notifications – allows the app to show notifications on your device.
- Vibrate – allows the app to trigger haptic feedback.
System, Launcher & Interface Management:
Because PixelBlast provides home-screen, launcher, and system-level customization features, it requests a number of privileged system permissions that are normally reserved for system or OEM applications. These are used only to power the app's core functionality (window management, task switching, widget and shortcut handling, screen orientation, and interface customization) and are not used to collect personal data. These include permissions such as:
- Control Remote App Transition Animations, Internal System Window, System Application Overlay, Status Bar / Status Bar Service – used to manage app transitions, overlays, and system UI elements.
- Start Tasks From Recents, Remove Tasks, Manage Activity Tasks, Stop App Switches, Kill Background Processes – used to manage app launching, task switching, and recent-apps behavior.
- Set Orientation, Read Frame Buffer, Allow Slippery Touches, Monitor Input, Manage Accessibility – used to support screen orientation, gesture handling, and accessibility-related interface features.
- Access Shortcuts, Access Hidden Profiles / Access Hidden Profiles Full, Broadcast Close System Dialogs, Start Widget Picker Activity (custom, signature-protected) – used to support shortcuts, widgets, and (where applicable) private/work profile support.
- Write Secure Settings – used to adjust certain system settings required for launcher/customization features to function.
Diagnostics & System Monitoring:
- Package Usage Stats – may be used to determine which apps are recently or currently used, in order to power app-drawer, recents, or usage-related features.
- Read Logs – may be used for diagnostic and debugging purposes to help us identify and fix issues.
Some of the permissions above are privileged or signature-level permissions that are only functional on devices where the app has been granted elevated/system-level access (for example, through root access or system installation). Where this is the case, PixelBlast uses this access strictly to provide the features described in this policy and does not use it to collect additional personal information beyond what is described elsewhere in this policy.
You can review and manage app permissions at any time in your device's Settings.
